A major milestone at Dubai Airshow 2025, as UK Export Finance issued a US$3.5 billion Expression of Interest to support the Al Maktoum International expansion. The letter was handed over by UK Minister for Trade Sir Chris Bryant to H.E. Eng. Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects.
H.E. Eng. Khalifa described the project as a structured programme focused on engineering, resilient design, and long-term planning to unlock Dubai’s next phase of aviation growth.
H.E. Eng. Suzanne Al Anani, CEO of DAEP, underlined that the Expression letter of Interest reflects strong confidence in DAEP’s engineering-led delivery, with clear specifications, modular and sustainable construction, and resilient infrastructure that will serve Dubai for decades while creating opportunities for qualified UK suppliers.
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, and H.E. Edward Hobart, British Ambassador to the UAE, also attended the ceremony, underscoring the importance of this step for Dubai’s aviation future.
